The journey to be on the road, and how it turned out to be.
My whole driving process should be the slowest, draggiest and the longest if compared to anybody else's. There has been too much (deliberate) delays, and so-called 'problems' that got in along the way, and really, I was more than grateful for it all was paid off when I passed my driving test!
I'm not sure whether I could've been considered lucky, but to get a female JPJ tester was a good omen. But you can't be all that relieved yet because we're talking about a very tough woman to crack here, I mean, she even drove one (or more) candidate back to the driving place - that's not good. Thank God she was cool all the way, and ALL the traffic lights went green when I was going to pass it! How blissful is that? But I forgot to give out a signal at one junction, then my car reversed a little at one junction (the place was kind of sloppy)..but then..she must've not paid so much attention to it, as I think the driving was smooth most of the time, the gear was OK, then alhamdulillah I saw a tick next to the 'Lulus' box! I've never been happier since days!
Initially I was bloody worried because so many people returned to the place driven by the JPJ guys and of course, failed their tests. There was a considerable amount of people passing, but it comes with many people failing. Seeing that, sape tak cuak. Even two of my friends failed their tests. So then again, maybe I was lucky. Now I'm so happy that I don't have to come to that horrible place anymore, seriously the feeling was not at all enjoyable. It's in Kapar, and, for the geographically-challenged, Kapar is north of Klang. It's a good 25 minutes drive from the Kompleks PKNS' entrance lah, but still it's very leceh and inconvenient.

Ayah didn't allow me to drive alone until I get my P license, and until those P stickers are sticked to my car.

My driving milestone,
Dec 6, 2006 - registered at Rahman.
Dec 8, 2006 - SPM ended. Freedom dawns.
Dec 9, 2006 - went to the KPP, the 6 hour bengkel. or was it 6?
Dec 15 - 18, 2006 - Langkawi. delayed Computer test.
Dec 22, 2006 - passed Computer test.
Dec 23 - 26, 2006 - Adelaide, delayed bengkel 3 jam.
Dec 28, 2006 - first time to actually drive a car, exactly before Gathering.
Jan 4, 2006 - Bengkel Amali 3 jam, or whatever it was called.
Jan 9, 2007 - got my L license.
Jan 16 - 20, 2007 - Zurich. delayed my practical driving classes greatly.
Jan 26, 2007 - started first driving class with Encik Nasir.
Jan 30, 2007 - 2nd.
Jan 31, 2007 - 3rd class delayed to Feb 3 (due to some reasons)
Feb 3, 2007 - 3rd class delayed to Feb 10 (due to some reasons)
c. Feb 8, 2007 - Athari, Mahfuz and some other people (who registered at the same time as I was) passed their JPJ test.
Feb 10, 2007 - 3rd class.
Feb 13, 2007 - Pre-test.
Feb 15, 2007 - 4th class.
Feb 17 - 24, 2007 - Chinese New Year week, classes are off-limit.
Feb 26, 2007 - proposed date for JPJ, postponed to March 5.
March 1, 2007 - additional class.
March 3, 2007 - last additional class.
March 4, 2007 - first ever accident (well, collision is an accident). I was driving Mahfuz's Volvo, and was trying to make a 3 point turn in front of pagar rumah, when suddenly I miscalculated the whole turning thing, and braked only when the car *slightly* hit my rumah's front gate. Ok, it was a VERY MINOR collision. Nobody was injured, Mahfuz's car was OK, except the gate had little technical problems. Ayah fixed the gate without saying anything, Mama got all 'lain kali bagitau, jgn senyap je!'. I'll never drive Mahfuz's car ever again. haha
March 5, 2007 - PASSED JPJ TEST. (I know, the irony)March 10 - 12, 2007 - estimated date to get the P license.
March 12, 2007 - SPM results will be released. Freedom period ends.
March 18, 2007 - PLKN. Driving is off-limits for three months.
March 22, 2007 - my L license expires.
I'm a freak because I remember dates. And all the above are excluding my personal trainings. Honestly, I was blunt at first. Even to the point that I was seen as a stubborn driver and was driving dangerously. Then all the revelation came especially with the clutch, and then, things got better. My confidence took time to be muttered, I tell you! haha. But just be good, and normally 2 months are enough to get a driving license. Ok, not three (like myself). That's just..slow.
Always, always listen to your driving instructor. Especially if he's somebody like Encik Rahman.

That's all about it. But of course, there's someone else who is happier today. In fact, she could be the happiest girl in the country for clarity's sake. Why should you not be one, if you get 19A1 in SPM?! Man, what does she eat doh? Congratulations anyway, and let's begin to worry about our catastrophic results right now.
p/s: there'll be a trip to Genting on March 9 & 10, anybody (related) who is interested, do contact Afiq or Bella. Just spreading the word :)
Syukrishairi 2006/7. Register at Rahman Driving School today! or Metro, well, as long as you'll pass.
