I happened to be around that part of KL yesterday afternoon, just to find a kopiah that suits me best. And how lucky I am to find two kopiahs that are exactly like I've always wanted. The shopping session was unexpectedly smooth (though Ayah and I did struggled through the usual city centre jam and parking space hunting, like what the hell -- it's downtown KL at noon, what do you expect?).
I just want to point out that the area of Jalan Masjid India and Jalan Bunus have that correct, merry ambience that every city should have; just like Cairo with its Khan al-Khalili, Istanbul with its Grand Bazaar, Rome with Via Condotti -- you get it. It has the magic needed to attract thousands of people to come here everyday, no matter how many bigger, sophisticated malls are sprouting around KL. People-watching is unavoidable.
This is true, because before we came down to join all the hustle and bustle, Ayah and I dropped by at Pavilion after picking up our visas at the travel agency. Well, as expected, on weekdays places like Pavilion are half dead, save for the Food Republic downstairs. We rushed to Masjid India after I got what I wanted -- a bag (and donuts).
It's a good thing that we've skipped lunch at Pavilion (where the ikan pari is also good), because lunch down at 'this stall' at Jalan Masjid India has happened to be very, very tempting.
Enough about that. So I'm actually in the middle of my usual last-minute packing now. I guess I won't be posting anything sooner. I'm going to depart for Jeddah this afternoon and from there, I'll be taking another flight to Madinah where I'll be there for three days, before finally making my journey to Makkah. That's the whole trip's itinerary, roughly.
I guess I've settled all my known debts, and I deeply regret if I've skipped anyone. I humbly seek forgiveness for my flaws and wrongdoings, really, especially to my best friends whom I care a lot. Thank you for the wishes, I'll do what I'll be able to do, and may God hear us.
Some craps dragged out of the store to keep you company while I'm away.

I've made it a point to leave my laptop behind at home, so expect updates to be posted as late as the first week of June. PHOTO the ikan pari lah. Listening to: White Shoes & The Couples Company - Bersandar.
